Serves 4 to 6
1 cup beef stock
⅓ cup Old Forester Bourbon
⅛ cup soy sauce
3 garlic cloves, minced
3 green onions, diced
Fresh ground pepper to taste
2 to 2½ pound sirloin steak, 1" to 1½" thick
Combine the beef stock, bourbon, soy sauce, garlic, green onions, and pepper in a bowl and mix well. Pour over the sirloin in a shallow dish. Marinate, covered for 4 hours, turning once; drain.
Place the steak on a lightly oiled rack over hot coals. Grill for 4 minutes. Turn the steak and grill for 5 minutes longer, or until done to taste.
Remove the steak to a platter and slice diagonally across the grain. Serve with roasted new potatoes and a green salad.
