This log cabin decorative bird house is based on the design of a log home in the John’s Creek area of Pike County, Kentucky in Appalachia.
The home was originally built by John Harrison King, surveyor and farmer, in the 1830’s and was the birthplace of generations of the King family. It is still occupied and a charming reminder of Kentucky days gone by.
Each bird house is created using 60 different parts, and is built to accommodate up to 5 different families and is completely hand made using Kentucky reclaimed maple and walnut harvested from Appalachia. Each house is designed for either inside or outside use, and makes a great decorative accent.
